BINGO! for the Arts

Last Thursday, AEC Living and Phoenix Commons were the proud sponsors of Boogie Woogie BINGO at Rythmix Cultural Works here in Alameda. A good time was had by all as we Boogied to the banks and eagerly awaited the call of the next BINGO number, all in the name of "inspiring the community to engage in the arts and strengthen the value of creativity and discovery in everyday life".

A dozen members of the AEC Living family, including employees, residents, Phoenix Commons members, and relatives  attended the festivities. Some of us won, many of us lost, ALL of us had  blast!

Next time, come on out and join the fun!

Now you know...about traveling around the Bay

Many thanks to Donatella Zepplin from Mastick Senior Center and Samson Wong from BART for the expertise they shared with the Elders Village Talks audience at the Alameda Main Library on March 18th. The topic, " Your Personal Guide to Public Transit Options for Seniors" provided a wealth of information about how seniors can best take advantage of local transit.   A lively question and answer session followed.

The next Elders Village Talk on "Volunteering and its Surprising Benefits" will be held on Thursday, April 16th. The public is invited and reservations can be made through the Elders Village office, 510-217-8527.
