Let's Talk About Downsizing

On Wednesday, August 20th we sponsored Moving on with Your Life: Simple Strategies for Moving and Downsizing - the most recent installment of the Elders Village Talks series.

This enthralling session was led by Lis McKinley, MA; a certified professional organizer and the owner of Let's Make Room. Lis spoke and answered questions for an hour about the various tacks you can take when getting ready to move, or downsize. She talked success strategies, helpful "tricks", some stumbling blocks that she has encountered, and how to survive the experience.

The room was packed and the information shared was both great, and greatly appreciated (I know I'm not the only one who took copious notes).

The Elders Village Talks series is something that we here at AEC are very proud to sponsor. These Talks occur about every other month at the Alameda Free Library and are open to the public. Each session focuses on a topic that is of interest to seniors, or those who support them.
